5 health&beauty hacks

How about some hacks for your beauty and health routine?

  1. Castor oil

I think it’s about time someone said how amazing castor oil is. Not only it helps your eyelashes grow like crazy, but it can also help your hair grow (this tip is for men, too – yes, I’m talking about those bald spots that annoy you). If you use it combined with olive oil, you can make yourself a face cleansing oil (yes, you can clean your face with oil, it really helps), which will get you rid of those nasty blackheads.

2.  Baking soda

Besides baking incredible cakes and cookies, baking soda can be very useful in your bathroom. Next time you have to brush your teeth, brush them with baking soda. You will see a clear difference on your pearly-whities.

3. Peppermint oil

Use this on your lips, to make them seem fuller. No further information neede, here 😛

4. Eye drops

Yes, eye drops. You know that mascara you love, but you seem to have run out of? Add 3-4 drops of Visine (or any eye drops, for that matter) to it, shake it well, and.. voila! You prolonged your mascara’s life for another 4 weeks 🙂

5. Baby powder

Besides it’s obvious use, baby powder can also be used as dry shampoo. Have this in mind, next time you’re running out of time and you have to be ready in 10 minutes.

The amazing ingredient

I have tried for years to repair my brittle hair, to improve my skin condition and to eat healthier.

I had no idea that one simple ingredient could be the answer to all of these problems: coconut oil (unrefined – it works wonders, and it’s easy to recognize because it smells like coconut, unlike the refined ones). Even though i’m still struggling with th “healthy eating ” part, my hair and my skin are thanking me.

Once a week (mostly saturdays or sundays) i take about 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and massage my dry ends, i make a bun, and leave it for about 4-5 hours (or less, if I don’t have the time). After that, i wash my hair as I would usually do, and ta-daaa! Smooth hair and a great scent (if you like coconut, of course).

For my skin, i simply use the coconut oil as a night cream. It’s light and easy to apply, and it helps with my acne – it dries my zits and reduces the redness. I simply love it ♥

I hope my advice helped
